Lantau Consevation Fund
“Oyster Shells Hotels: Building micro-habitats with oyster shells for the rehabilitation of marine biodiversity” workshops

As a highly developed coastal city, human-induced threats such as destruction of natural shoreline and  reclamation, has caused the loss of Hong Kong’s valuable natural marine ecosystems and their biodiversity. And oyster shells could be a solution to help bringing our rich biodiversity back to the sea walls.

In this workshop you will have an opportunity to build, deploy, and monitor your own oyster shell hotels, and learn how to use oyster shells to enhance biodiversity on artificial seawalls in Tung Chung.
